Pile: Low/Medium pile with some beautiful wear and age-related patina. Ancient and wonderfully charming reweaves and minor restoration here and there, nothing significant at all. Overall, in incredible condition for its age.
About: INTERIOR DESIGNERS where you at?! These patterns are a DREAM to work with because they're so versatile. Beautiful small pattern yet somehow the weavers have managed to create enough space between each motifs to make iit seem airy and open - it's true mastery. These colors are also spectacular - gorgeous coral pink that comes from second bath matter of madder root, incredible blues, greens, taupe, and hypnotizing Peacock blue-greens that really elevate this piece. One of the best things from purely a "rug nerd" perspective is that this piece is filled with lots of lovely animal motifs woven inside. Typically this family of rug isn't known for weaving nomadic life in their piece, they're often purely decorative with their colors and patterns - but here we have the soulful weavers improvising and indulging in the undeniable charm of the symbolism that make this art so endearing. I could go on about this piece, but I'll let the pictures take it from here but I'll just end with this - this WILL be your and/or your client's FAVORITE RUG THEY OWN.

Did they weave it for personal use, commerce, to gift, or trade? Who was the second owner, and the third!?
