Pile: Low with age-related patina and wear; obvious wear on the sides and a hole that can be patched, woven, or just let it me as is. We always recommend buying a custom cut pad with these beautifully worn super old wool on wool rugs!

Did they weave it for personal use, commerce, to gift, or trade? Who was the second owner, and the third!? Sometimes the little motifs and symbols in rugs can help tell the story, but we will never truly know - there's something beautiful about that.
