About: Find another Shirvan/Kuba this finely woven, this old, in these colors and in this condition - AND with the Original Swastika motifs inside the border - you won't! This symbol originated fromt he EAST and was originally a Symbol of all Positive meanings; Harmony, Balance, Life, Conducive to Well-Being, Luck, and Prosperity, amongst many other things. It wasn't until the 1930's when the German's adopted the symbol for the Aryan race. Because this piece was woven well before the 1930's, it is clear that the intention of these motifs and symbols carry with them nothing but positivity, good Juju, and well-being / good luck with it. Intention is a VERY important aspect that of art that isn't always brought to the forefront, but always the Northstar when we select piecs for our collection. This is a collector's piece for sure. Super rare to see these low-land caucasian rugs in this color palette. This piece is over 100 years old with genuine patina and age-related wear - adding to its lovely character. This is the kind of rug you will enjoy each time you look at it. You will marvel at its knot count and density. The teals and lavenders are simply colors you don't see in these pieces. These nomads cared for their own sheep, dyed their own wool from natural ingredients native to their villages, spun their wool by hand and wove these mystic art forms and textiles honoring the stories, designs, and techniques that have been in their families for generations. This is what you think of when you think of a high-end collectible antique rug. This is the kind of piece that a rug enthusiast and rug collector gets excited to see - iconic designs in rare colors with exceptional quality and workmanship. The fact is, even rug novices will look at this and say it's beautiful, as well as interior designers with great taste, can seriously build an entire room around this piece. A show-stopper indeed - we hope you take a good look at this piece and it moves you the way art should!
This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one available.
Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects.

A note from us to you: Buying a rug is special; it's not just you finding the rug, but also the rug finding you. Think about the many coincidences that have to occur for you to find the rug of your dreams. Our rugs are woven by nomads in the villages and remote mountainous regions of the major rug weaving districts across the world. All of our rugs are genuinely old and one-of-a-kind. Like anything old and unique, they are filled with character, soul, and story. The story of a rug is something we think about a lot; who was the weaver(s)? Did they weave it for personal use, commerce, to gift, or trade? Who was the second owner, and the third!? Sometimes the little motifs and symbols in rugs can help tell the story, but we will never truly know - there's something beautiful about that. Alas, our joy is to curate these incredible pieces that speak to us, and to pass them along to their new owners to be enjoyed and cherished for many years to come; both continuing to add to the story of the rug, and to the story of the new owners.
