Age: Vintage, C. 1940-50's

Pile: Low/Medium Pile with fantastic lanolin-rich wool and the fringe is all secured and ready to go. This piece is in mint condition with a nice floppy handle because of its nomadic essence of wool pile with wool fountain construction and for all of our wool foundation rugs we recommend a custom cut pad to add some nice extra body. This piece has been "antique washed' to give it its softer color palette.  If you have any questions about this process of softening the dyes, please reach out. 

About: Absolutely stunning example of an ancient Nomadic pattern which almost exclusively was woven in a rich deep red hue, is now offered in a grounded yet elevated earthy cloud grey, espresso, taupe, gorgeous steel blue with almost green notes, and walnut to give us a nice almost tone-on-tone aesthetic.  These pieces are always popular with our designers who create more understated spaces, and we love that the heartbeat of this piece still carries the ancient stories of these nomadic weavers that created such gems inspired by travels through the Silk Road. 

This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one available. 

Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects.
