Pile: Low/Med pile with age related wear and evident patina. This piece is nearly in mint condition which is AMAZING! Ancient reweave in minor areas, actually adds more to this piece so I'm glad it's there.
About: YES PLEASE - Almond color with beautiful blue border, rust, coral, and teal hues fill the animals, oversized tribal medallion, and the meandering geometric vines. Any prayer rug with Hand Motifs remind me that this is woven by hands, for those that dedicate their lives to a higher being, being good on this Earth in honor of their spiritual connection, and nothing is more importance than that connection to something larger than themselves - that really resonates with me.
This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one in the world, no others are available.
Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects.
