Age: Antique, C. 1910-20's

Pile: Low/Med pile with fantastic age-related wear and patina. Exceptional Character-rich Aesthetic - this piece, like many from this exact family of rug, has some dryer foundation so it is important that you get a custom cut pad and handle this piece with a little more delicacy.  Once you lay it down, it's totally fine, but when handling it just make sure to keep it rolled, and never folded. I'll tell you more if you end up buying it. It also has some age-old repairs etc, see pics and priced accordingly. 

About:  Such incredible colors and design, seriously its STUNNING. One of the better Ferahans I've seen in a while (and we are VERY picky about our Ferahans!).

Did they weave it for personal use, commerce, to gift, or trade? Who was the second owner, and the third!? Sometimes the little motifs and symbols in rugs can help tell the story, but we will never truly know - there's something beautiful about that. Alas, our joy is to curate these incredible pieces that speak to us, and to pass them along to their new owners to be enjoyed and cherished for many years to come; both continuing to add to the story of the rug, and to the story of the new owners.
